Class of 2020 Spotlight Kylee Kennerly

The accomplishments, of Kylee Kennerly are awe inspiring.  She has worked diligently to incorporate her passion for psychology, art, and music by creating a game to help detect childhood trauma.  You can see her interview with Local DVM about her game called, the Project ACE. It was a pleasure to capture her senior year and incorporate the accomplishments she’s achieved.

What’s your names and what high school are you reppin’?

Kylee Kennerly, Millbrook High School in Winchester, VA.

What’s the most memorable moments from the past four years?

Watching the musical Wicked on Broadway with my best friends!

If there is one things you could change in the world what would it be?

Making sure nobody goes hungry.

How long have you been drawing and playing the bassoon?

I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil, but I started seriously doing art around 6th grade.  I started bassooning my 8th grade year!

If you could leave behind a nugget of wisdom to underclassmen what would it be?

I know it’s like 6 years out of lingo, but YOLO is real.  Teenagers have the memory and attention span of a goldfish.  Live your best life and do what you love.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully holding a PHD in psychology and helping people’s mental health in an office somewhere on a beach front.
